Moong dal - 250 Gram Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp Red dry chillies- 2 to 3 Asafoetida- 1/4 Tsp Curry leaves Cloves - 3 Onion - 2 Large Salt to taste Red chilli Powder- 1.5 Tsp Coriander Powder- 1Tsp Cumin Powder- 1Tsp Tomato - 2 Large Water 3 Cup Garam Masala- 1/2 Tsp Ghee - 1Tsp

How to make

1..Take  green moong dal washed and soaked in water for 6 to 7 hours.

2.Put the soaked moong dal in pressure cooker to boil.Add sufficient water,salt 1 Tsp and Turmeric powder 1/2 Tsp mix it well and close the lid of pressure cooker,cook until a single whistle.

3.After a whistle turn off the gas flame.

4.Boiled Moong dal is ready.

5.To make Tempering ,pour 3 tbsp oil in the pan to heat.

6.Now add Cumin seeds, Asafoetida, red dry chillies and curry leaves .Mix it well.

7.Add onions and add salt .Stir it and fry it for 3 to 4 minutes on medium flame.

8.Add ginger garlic paste and fry it for 1/2 minutes.

9.Reduce the gas flame before adding dry spices.

10.Add red chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, cumin Powder, turmeric powder and salt.Mix it well and fry it for 10 seconds on low flame.

11.Add tomato and mix it.Close the pan lid and cook the tomatoe for 4 to 5 minutes on medium flame.

15.Open the lid and again mix it.

16.Now add 3 cups water.(boiled moong dal water added).

17.Add boiled moong dal into the mixture and mix it well.

18.Boil dal for one minute.

19.Open the lid and add garam masala. Mix it.

20.Add ghee & mix well.

21.Moong dal is ready.Add Coriander leaves for garnish.

22.Turn off the gas flame.
